Sixth Form Show - The Ferryman

Details

The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth. An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.

As the first half of term draws to a close, a carefully selected cast from the sixth form will perform Jez Butterworth’s gripping and emotional play, The Ferryman . Building on last year’s incredibly touching and powerful show Lungs (as pictured), this year’s production promises to bring something very different but equally poignant.

Set during The Troubles in Ireland, The Ferryman tells the story of the family of a former IRA volunteer, living in their farmhouse in rural County Armagh, Northern Ireland in 1981.

The sixth form play is a highlight of the school calendar and this moving and absorbing story, based in a time of significant political and social tension, promises to enthral and entertain.
