Small Paintings 2025

An independent Edinburgh art gallery has announced details of a new exhibition, featuring almost 500 small, original paintings from some of Scotland’s most notable contemporary artists. The annual show is now in its 11th year, with the pocket-sized paintings eagerly anticipated by art lovers.

Each of the paintings is unframed and no more than 25cm in size. With a huge range of subject matter from landscapes, seascapes and city scenes to still life and portraits, there’s something for everyone. It’s an opportunity to snap up a small painting from a well-known, highly collectable artist or to discover a new talent.
