The Southeast Hampshire Youth Orchestra (SHYO) was created to provide greater access to musical opportunities for students in the Havant and Waterlooville area. Open to orchestral music students who are Grade 6 and above, SHYO members have performed challenging repertoire from Bizet's Carmen Suite to Grieg's Piano Concerto.
Through its collaboration with the Havant Symphony Orchestra (HSO), SHYO members have had the opportunity to participate in combined rehearsals, work with HSO's professional conductors and receive mentorship from HSO's principal players. We are looking forward to future collaborative opportunities!
On Sunday 16th March, SHYO members will perform their latest programme of repertoire at the Pallant Centre (PO9 1BE) and we look forward to welcoming you!
