Summer Reading Challenge

It’s that time of the year again when Glasgow Libraries launch their Summer Reading Challenge 2024 this year’s theme Marvellous Makers will spark reading and creativity in your children.

LAUNCHING SATURDAY 22ND JUNE – SATURDAY 10TH AUGUST 2024.

Marvellous Makers is co-ordinated by the Reading Agency and runs in all Glasgow Libraries across the city, it sets your children a challenge to read 6 books of their own choice, over the summer holidays. It introduces children and families to one of the best, free, on their doorstep resources for their minds – the local library.

There are fun incentives to collect for reading books that will motivate your child and keep them engaged with reading. The core age range is 4 – 12 years and there is also a mini version for under 4’s so everyone in the family can take part.
