Synecdoche Montauk is a project by the UK-based composer, producer and singer-songwriter Savva Rozanov. He has gained acclaim through fusing contemporary pop, neo soul, and atmospheric soundscapes with deeply personal, lyric-driven compositions. For the first time in London, Rozanov presents his acoustic programme in the magisterial St Giles Cripplegate church situated in the Barbican. Here, Rozanov pares back his arrangements to melancholy acoustic guitar work and piano accompaniment. It echoes his work as a composer for independent cinema, where he has honed a heartbreaking sound, rich with drama. These acoustic renditions explore even further a raw, introspective side to his palette. This is a rare opportunity to witness Synecdoche Montauk in his purest form, in a performance capturing the core of Rozanovs artistry: vulnerable, transformative, and deeply resonant.
