Join TCR's family trip to Hamsterley Forest to find the Gruffalo (if you wish!!) and other wild creatures this summer. Join Family Lead Sarah for an woodland adventure in better weather than we had at Easter!!
The trail starts at the visitor centre and runs for 1.5 miles. All surfaced paths, mostly level but with one moderate incline. This trail is aimed at families with children aged 3-9, but can be enjoyed by all.
The day will include transport from TCR Hub at 9.30am with possible pick ups en route in Cockfield and Staindrop. We will enjoy the trail in the morning and some woodland play and games in the afternoon. Bring your own packed lunch and weather appropriate clothing.
This trip is targeted at those who might not be able to get out and about in the holidays or need a group to help support adventures. Families are welcome to be independent once we get to Hamsterley Forest or stay with Sarah, who is a trained Lowland Leader.
Please book spaces for everyone - children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please bring appropriate footwear for walking and be aware that you might get muddy!
