Join us on 23rd February for a scenic walk from Teynham to the picturesque Marina village of Conyer! Along the way, we'll take in the beauty of the landscape while exploring part of the historic Saxon Shore Way.
History Highlight: Teynham’s name dates back to Roman times, and it was an important agricultural area in medieval Kent. Conyer, once a bustling port for grain and shipbuilding, has its own maritime heritage. As we walk, we’ll trace part of the Saxon Shore Way, a trail that once served as a Roman defence line against Saxon invaders. Established in AD 276, the forts along this path played a key role in Britain's military defence.
Come for the stunning views, stay for the fascinating history! See you there!
