On a summer's night in the deep south, a dejected GI locked eyes with a beautiful socialite in a chance encounter that would change their lives—and the world.
Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald would go on to symbolise the dazzle, glamour and tragedy of the Jazz Age. Immortalised as icons, the pair are shorthand for an era that fascinates us now more than ever. But in the mythologising of their legacy, do we really know who they were at all?
Their letters take us behind the scenes of their very public marriage, their fame and notoriety, to reveal a complex and compassionate portrait of two tortured individuals, fighting to keep love going, against the odds.
Marking 100 years since 'The Great Gatsby' was published, their letters will be brought to life by special guests, with a script by Holly Dawson.
