Details

The programme has an environmental theme at this time of climate change, horrific fires, floods and storms and will include Rebel's extraordinary 'Les lmens', Telemann's delightful 'Water Music' and two pieces by Johann Adolph Hasse, one of the most famous and prolific composers of his time. German by birth, Hasse spent much time in Italy and for a while in Vienna, where the young Mozart attended one of his operas. We perform a short but fiery Symphony in G min Op.5 No. 6. and an equally tempestuous aria, ' Furit grando procellosa' ('A furious hailstorm rages') from his biblical oratorio Serpentes ignei in deserto ('The fiery serpents in the desert'). Our Musical Director, Ashley Solomon will direct, Deborah Miles-Johnson will sing and wine and soft drinks are included with the ticket for this concert without an interval (lasting around 1hr 15min).

No interval.
