The Heat

The Heat, a surreal dance theatre piece by Becky Namgauds, begins in the realm of the domestic space. As the landscape unravels, cracks appear, and through them seep the dark psyche, simmering desires, and moments of biting absurdity transforming the home into a dreamscape of tension and primal energy.

With striking physicality and moments of surreal humour, the dancers take audiences on a journey through a portrait of the wild forces that lie just beneath the surface

The Heat features music specially composed by Domenico Angarano and intricate set and costume design by Linbury Prize winning production designer Yimei Zhao.
