Celebrating the Great Irish Guitarist

Louis Stewart The legendary Jazz guitarist Louis Stewart grew up in Dublin and his early years were influenced by the playing of Les Paul and Barney Kessel. He went on to have an illustrious world-wide performance and recording career working such luminaries as bassist Sam Jones, pianists Red Mitchell & George Shearing and the band leader Benny Goodman. His playing inspired many of today’s great players including celebrated UK guitarist Nigel Price and pianist and fellow countryman John Donegan , who was also a great personal friend of Louis before he passed away in 2016. Nigel and John will come together to celebrate the style and music performed by Louis Stuart which will encompass blues, swing bebop and of course a host of great jazz standards. Alongside Nigel and John will be bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Nick Millward.
