The Last of the Pelican Daughters by The Wardrobe Ensemble

Details

In folklore, pelican mothers feed their young on their own blood. Now, four sisters are trying to come to terms with their mother’s death.

Joy wants a baby, Storm wants to be seen, Sage just wants to remember and Maya doesn’t want anyone to find out her secret; Granny’s in a wheelchair and Mum’s presence still seeps through the ceiling and the floors.

A play about what it means for young people to deal with loss, inheritance and fairness.

This funny and startling play, so relevant to our time, is full of joy, tears and telling moments.

PLEASE NOTE THE PLAY CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE WHICH SOME PEOPLE MAY FIND OFFENSIVE.
