January sees The Rackets return to Edinburgh for a headline show at Mash House following a sold-out show late last year. Of interest to fans of alternative rock and Britpop indie, their sound revolves around brash guitar and aggressive drumming. With support from Nervous Habit for their first Edinburgh gig it should be some night.
The Rackets formed in London and released their debut single, ‘I Don’t Mind’ in 2022. The band soon began performing on stages across the capital and beyond. They have since headlined the likes of Camden Assembly, Sneaky Pete’s, and The Amersham Arms. They released their debut single ‘I Don’t Mind’ in 2022. Since then, they have self-produced their music, beginning with ‘Back in a Minute’ in 2023, which was followed in 2024 by ‘Pictures for Posers’ and the newly-released ‘Silent Eyes’. They are currently recording an EP at Blue Rooms Huddersfield, scheduled for release next summer.
