The Rogues Shanty Chorus - Short Wave

The Rogues Shanty Chorus return to the Seagull Theatre after eleven complete sell-out performances with their new show ‘Short Wave’. 'Short Wave' is an immersive theatre production that brings to life the hidden histories of ordinary objects which have extraordinary stories. Centred around a selection of vintage items - a shortwave radio, a sextant, a compass, and more — each object unveils a true tale of human experience linked to these artefacts, delvin g into the deeply personal, yet universal, emotions of loss, discovery, and survival. As each story unfolds, the objects themselves take on a symbolic role, offering insights into resilience, exploration, and the unseen impact of history on everyday lives.

The choir promise to bring their usual inimitable mix of fun and rowdy sea shanties and evocative storytelling performed through equal parts authentic traditional pub singaround and unique charming humour - singing along will be encouraged. EARLY BOOKING IS RECOMMENDED!
