On Wednesday 7 August join Dr Daniel Sobrino Ralston, CEEH Associate Curator of Spanish Painting at the National Gallery, London, for a talk on The Rokeby Venus by Diego Velázquez.

Daniel joins us as part of the programme of events to celebrate 200 years of the National Gallery, which has brought The Rokeby Venus to the Walker Art Gallery on loan as part of the exhibition National Treasures: Velázquez in Liverpool.

Daniel has published and lectured widely on Spanish art from the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, ranging from Velázquez's early years in Seville to affinities between the work of El Greco and Dalí.

Doors will open at 5.30pm, with a cash bar available for you to purchase drinks. PLEASE NOTE THAT DRINKS CANNOT BE TAKEN THROUGH TO THE GALLERY ONCE THE TALK HAS STARTED.

Talk will commence at approx. 6pm and will finish at 7pm
