Details

The Tempest is Shakespeare's greatest tragicomedy; a play which incorporates both tragedy and comedy. A tale of magic, revenge, family, treachery and hilarity. Twelve years ago, Prospero was usurped as Duke of Milan by his wicked brother Antonio. He fled with his daughter Miranda and has been living in exile on a remote and enchanted island ever since. The play begins as a ship which carries Antonio and other nobleman passes Prospero's island, being a great magician, Prospero conjures a tempest to ruin the ship and leaves his enemies shipwrecked on the island of which he is lord and master.
