Theatre in the Making - a series of nine free workshops exploring creativity through story, movement, music and puppetry led by Strange Futures Theatre with creative collaborators, Rachel Freeman, Liz Dilnot Jones and Abdullah Tamo. Everybody (over 18 years old) is welcome to come to these workshops. No experience is needed. The workshops will take place each Thursday from late January 2025 in the Malvern Cube theatre space from 7.00 - 8.30pm on the following dates: Thursday January 30th Thursday February 6th Thursday February 13th Thursday February 20th Thursday February 27th Thursday March 6th Thursday March 13th Thursday March 20th Thursday March 27th We will explore the theme of journeys through tales both true and traditional. Strange Futures will introduce some of our own approaches to making theatre through story-making and puppetry. Rachel Freeman will take these ideas on through movement using accessible techniques, including aerial silk movement, and Liz will introduce sound, music and song. You are welcome to come for just one or two of the weeks, or all of them, or as many as you like. When booking, please book for each week that you would like to come. We aim to create a welcoming space and will ask anyone who books for the workshops if they have any specific needs, so we can plan to make them as accessible as possible.
