Based on the book by Joe Simpson, adapted by David Greig Directed by Paul Warner

In 1985, experienced climbers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates set out to climb the unconquered face of a remote Andean mountain. It turned out to be an epic battle for survival against seemingly insurmountable odds.

The stage adaptation of this amazing true story follows in the footsteps of a critically acclaimed documentary, but rather than just explore what happened, this play also examines underlying themes of motivation, friendship and ethics, asking - and answering - why anyone would "launch themselves up the side of a mountain at extreme risk to life and limb".
