Join us as we welcome Catherine Ross, Sustainability Manager at the British Library, for an engaging discussion about how the Library is tackling sustainability. Discover what it takes to make this beautiful, contemporary Grade I listed building Net Zero Carbon, and gain unique insights into Catherine’s career journey into the sustainability sector—a path she describes as 'wiggly' but rewarding.

One of the hallmarks of She Is Sustainable events is the opportunity for relaxed, meaningful conversations with other women working in or aspiring to join the sustainability field. In the inspiring setting of the British Library, we encourage you to bring along a recommendation—a book, film, or podcast that has influenced your journey—and share it with others. We look forward to an afternoon of learning, networking, and inspiration.

Tea and coffee will be served at 16.15 for a prompt start at 16.30. The meeting point is in the main foyer of the Library, after the bag check. We will finish at 17.45 with an optional visit to a local pub (recommended by Catherine and her colleagues). If you are travelling some distance you may want to arrive earlier in the afternoon and visit the fantastic Medieval Women exhibition [https://www.bl.uk/whats-on/medieval-women/] which has had great reviews. The visit to pub and exhibition are not included in the £5 admin charge.
