Details

We are pleased to help launch a debut CD from Grove friends What Larks. A four part acapella close harmony group singing in a traditional folk style. The album is called Larking About and was recorded at Greenmount Studios in Leeds. What Larks are all local individual performers and met originally via social media and the Grove Folk Club. Sue Thornton often performs alongside her husband Mark Ludlow. Anne Curran has toured the clubs extensively in the past as a solo singer and guitarist. Heather Woodhead, who helps run the Grove Folk Club, is also a singer, songwriter and guitarist and has released four albums. Lilian Grace plays concertina and guitar and graduated from the folk degree programme at Leeds Conservatoire in 2020. She released her first solo album in 2023. This will be an enjoyable evening with chorus opportunities for audience participation!
