The Music of 'Sting'

Several years ago, Paul Jefferies (https://www.pauljefferies.com/) created a set of arrangements for the music of composer and bassist Sting, but they have never really been aired properly in public. Paul has asked the pianist and arranger Alex Steele to help create a show that uses some of these and add some of Alex’s favourites to the mix. Sting’s music has always appealed to jazz musicians with its unique harmonies and great opportunities to improvise over and around some extraordinary melodies, so we are excited to hear the results! Paul on double bass and bass guitar, Alex plays piano, the superb drummer Chris Nichols will collaborate and a saxophonist is to be announced.
