Join experienced tutor Jo Hammond for this workshop, learning step-by-step how to create a pig sculpture for your house or garden. Youll learn to weave natural brown willow into sculptural forms starting with a firm framework, followed by a covering of sinuous freeweave. Then your piece takes shape by adding legs and a head, with ears and tail as the finishing touches. This design has loads of character and presence just like the real thing.
Note- willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please either bring a packed lunch or visit the on-site Tiptree Tearoom.
The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided. This workshop is only suitable for over 18s.
