The second half of the programme begins with Strauss’ Don Juan, a rich and atmospheric tone poem that showcases the composer’s mastery of orchestration and dramatic intensity. Finally, the Orchestra performs the stunningly vivid Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2 by Ravel.
The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (YMSO) is the only symphony orchestra in the UK that provides free orchestral training, performance experience and professional development opportunities to musicians on the threshold of their professional careers.
