BBC Radio Ulster’s ‘Irish Music Icons’ has been celebrating our greatest artists with a series of career-spanning interviews.
On Sunday, November 24th you can join globally renowned folk artist Cara Dillon as she talks with Late Show presenter Eve Blair about her life, work and connection to home, live from the Helicon stage.
Since her breakthrough in the 1990’s, Cara has been at the forefront of the Irish folk scene with moments such as ‘Black is the Colour’, ‘Hill of Thieves’ and ‘Never in a Million Years’ gaining critical and commercial success and receiving airplay across the world. Her latest book ‘Coming Home’ is an extraordinary blend of spoken word, poetry and song, evoking personal memories of a childhood in Dungiven.
As well as the interview with Cara there will be an audience Q+A with your chance to ask questions to one of our most treasured artistic voices.
This recording of Irish Music Icons will be broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster, Sounds and will also appear on the iPlayer.
