The NYCNI Senior Choir will perform a programme centering around the theme of Night, exploring the mystery, power, darkness and light that all comes at night time. The programme will include Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo inspired by the ethereal aurora borealis phenomenon, Sure on this Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen, Abendlied by Josef Rheinberger and works by Sarah Quartel, Kate Rusby, Kerry Andrew and Elaine Hagenberg.
Senior Choir member, Daire Downey, has written a piece called The Night which will receive its Northern Ireland premiere as part of the Concert at Fisherwick.
With this programme the flagship NYCNI Senior Choir, directed by Andrew Nunn and accompanied by Gail Evans will take you on a moving and beautiful journey through night time.
