We are delighted to welcome Dr. Karly Kehoe, Professor of History & Canada Research Chair in Atlantic Canada Communities, from Saint Mary's University in Nova Scotia.

We will examine the legacies of migration from the Highlands and resettlement in Nova Scotia. We’ll explore this history and archaeology of Cùl Chamas an Dobhrain (Rear Beaver Cove), a fascinating settlement in the centre of Cape Breton Island.

Limited free visitor parking is available at John Sinclair House on a first come, first serve basis.

Please email archives@hes.scot to reserve your free place to join us in-person or online.
