Congratulations to New Orleans-based pianist Sullivan Fortner, who has just won the 2025 Grammy award for Best Jazz Performance.

Appearing with his US trio at Watermill Jazz on a rare UK gig, Sullivan is renowned for both his solo and his collaborative work, and is particularly acclaimed for his role in The Window with vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant. As an improviser, Fortner originates from a rich lineage of New Orleans' blues and jazz musicians, blending traditional styles with inventive music. Sullivan has collaborated with a myriad of artists, including Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simonand the late Roy Hargroveand his recent work includes Grammy-nominated releases Dear Love and Generations . This promises to be a superb evening with a world-class trio!
